The name of the font used in the Beetlejuice movie which starred Michael Keaton is a typeface by the name Caslon Antique by Dieter Steffmann. This author also goes by the name of Typographer Mediengestaltung and is from Germany.

There are over 230 glyphs in the full font file, including both uppercase and lowercase variants. There are 4 typefaces in this font family, that being: Regular, Italic, Italic Bold, and Bold. Caslon Antique is used in the Beetlejuice logo in such a way that it is presented at different angles, thereby giving it an overall sense of fun and quirkiness. Steffmann has thankfully released his Caslon Antique font with a license that enables it to be used for all Personal and Professional uses – quite nice really!

About Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice is a 1988 Warner Bros. film that is both a smash hit and a certified Tim Burton cult classic. It tells the story of a recently deceased couple haunting the new family that moved into their home, with the help of a poltergeist named Betelguese. The movie has delighted audiences of all ages with a whimsical blend of kooky characters, off-beat horror, and good clean fun. Beetlejuice featured a stellar cast, including Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, and Geena Davis. It is this off-beat and whacky feel to the movie that we see clearly played out in the logo itself, with the Beetlejuice font being perfectly aligned for this purpose. One of the stand-out performances for this movie was given by Winona Ryder who portrayed the fun and outlandish character of Lydia Deetz.
