Bjork font

image of the official Bjork font

The name of the Bjork font that most closely resembles the lettering used on the album is a typeface of the same name, simply called Bjork. This is a fan-based font which contains all of the same uppercase and lowercase characters as per the original.

Due to Björk’s popularity, she has her own Björk font. This font is an unusual one as several letters have two lines trailing them. The font is also bold and italic which isn’t very common, this helps to make it stand out.

Here is a preview image that I recently created which clearly shows the full Bjork font character map:

About the Björk typeface

Björk was born in Iceland in 1965. She’s had a music career spanning over four decades. Her eclectic music style makes her quite a unique artist. She first became known internationally at the young age of 11 when she was the lead singer of the band Sugarcubes. After Sugarcubes broke up Björk became a solo artist releasing albums such as Homogenic and Biophilia. She’s had major success in the U.S as well as the U.K making it onto the top Billboard 200 charts and the U.K’s top-40 list dozens of times. Björk has also starred in several films too, even going as far as winning the best actress award at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival.
