Let’s take a closer look at the Iron Maiden font. The typeface that was used in the lettering on the front of the Iron Maiden album is a custom designed wordmark / logo. There is however a fan-based font that you can download and use which is simply called Iron Maiden. It was designed and created by an independent font designer known as Timour Jgenti. The intial version of this freeware font was released on 28 December 1996.

About the Iron Maiden typeface

Iron Maiden is a heavy metal band from Leyton, East London, England. The band was formed in 1975. Their pioneering members feature Steve Harris on Bass, Ron Matthews on Drums, Paul Day as their vocalist, and Terry Rance and Dave Sullivan on guitars. Iron Maiden is among the most recognizable metal bands of the 80s. Throughout the bands’ history, they’ve released a total of 40 records which include 7 compilations, 4 extended plays, 13 live albums, and 16 studio albums.
