Megadeth font

image of the official Megadeth font

Come and get some of this rockin’ Megadeth font! The typeface that is used on the cover of most Megadeth album covers is a custom design that was commissioned by the band themselves. There is however a fan-based font that is a near exact replica of the original logo that is also called Megadeth. It was created by an independent author by the name of Shane McFee, and was released back 23 March of 1998 under a Free For Personal Use license.

The font features the same serif type features as can be found in the official Megadeth logo design. The capital “M” letter has an accent to the left, whilst the last letter in the logo (i.e. the letter “H”) has an an accent that is directed to the right. The font is available as a ttf typeface which makes for easy installation on both Mac and PC operating systems.

Below you can download this bad-ass typeface for free so that you can install it on your computer. Alternatively, you can use our free Megadeth font generator tool that is presented further on down the bottom of this page.

About the Megadeth typeface

Megadeth has been bringing heavy metal music to the ears of fans around the world since the band started in LA in 1983. The band’s music often features songs about death, war, politics, and other controversial subjects that touch the hearts of their listeners. These subjects have certainly been the secret to their success as the band has sold 38 million records and secured its first Grammy award in 2017. Their band members have changed over the years, but the group currently has 4 members, Dave, David, Kiko, and Dirk.
