Omori font
Omori is a role-playing video game developed by Omocat, released on December 25, 2020. Mixing elements of psychological horror with traditional RPG gameplay, the game offers an enriching narrative that explores themes of mental health and self-discovery. Enhanced by pixel art graphics and turn-based combat, it crafts an immersive world that pays tribute to iconic games in the genre.
Regarding typography, the Omori logo employs two custom fonts, Omori_Game and Omori_Game2, both of which were designed by Hiroshi Omori in 2006. For me personally, these fonts portray a sense of whimsy, yet contain an undercurrent of unsettling tension, thereby perfectly resonating with the game’s complex narrative. The lettering used in the logo is a moderate weight and a casual handwritten style, the fonts adeptly capture the game’s dual atmosphere of lighthearted exploration and emotional depth.
