The first animated cartoon series to be aired on American prime-time television, The Flintstones ran for 166 episodes across six seasons between 1960 and 1966. The comedy sitcom was based in a loose Stone Age setting, and was one of the first American cartoons to be targeted at an adult audience. The franchise would later grow after the original series’ ending to include several films and related television series in the 1970s and 1980s featuring the same original characters. You can even find two Flintstones-themed amusement parks in the US! The main characters are: Fred, Wilma, Bamm-Bamm, Barney, Betty, Pebbles, Dino, Mr Slate, and The Great Gazoo.
