About The Haunted Mansion brand
The Haunted Mansion is a 2003 American fantasy comedy film based on the popular Disney theme park attraction of the same name. The plot revolves around a real estate agent named Jim Evers who, along with his family, becomes trapped in a haunted house while trying to sell it. As they explore the mansion and try to find a way out, they encounter a variety of ghostly inhabitants, including the mansion’s eccentric owner, Master Gracey. Throughout the film, Jim and his family must face their fears and work together to escape the haunted mansion.
It is a horror and supernatural comedy movie that was directed by Rob Minkoff. It stars Eddie Murphy, Marsha Thomason, Nathaniel Parker and Jennifer Tilly and is based on the theme park attractions that shares the same name at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
When the film was first brought out in theatres it was roundly panned by the critics. However, it performed admirably at the box office, grossing $182.3 million worldwide on a budget of just $90 million. Subsequently, a new screenplay has been written, which will be turned into a film starring Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish and Danny DeVito.
