Black Flag is an American punk rock band. It was formed in Hermosa Beach, California(USA) back in 1976 - the band is no longer active though. They're best known for fast heavy music, and visually by its four-bar logo. Members of the band are: Greg Ginn (guitar), Keith Morris (lead vocals), Chuck Dukowski (bass guitar), Robo (drums), Dez Cadena (guitar and lead vocals), and Henry Rollins (lead vocals). Their most popular songs were: Rise Above, Nervous Breakdown, TV Party, Six Pack, Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie, Black Coffee, and Police Story.

Friz Quadrata in the Bold weight is the font that most resembles the lettering used in Black Flag designs. This typeface was designed and created by Ernst Friz.
